WTF is the creme?

you like guest posts, right? well today we've got the THIRD EVER guest post from the eatinist bitch, who contributed a guest post on snacks & drinks in puerto rico to eat!drink!snack! last summer, drank pumpkin thangs for pumpktoberfest & made my 2011 top ten links & drinks list. i really need to buy her a beer or make her some brownies or something one of these days. enjoy!

even though i'm considered to be one with a great palate, i love trashy food. i try not to eat too much fast food any more (anything larger than a six-piece nugget and a small fry is a recipe for tummy disaster), but when i get a craving, i refuse to deny it.

this morning, i woke up with a raging craving for a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit with a hashbrown lovingly tucked in the middle. it was well before the cutoff time for breakfast at mcdonald's, so i knew i could make it happen.

a tale of two pumpkin (drinks).

all pumpktoberfest long, we've got guest posts from some of my favorite bloggers. so far, the posts from erica of FIPS & junk food guy have been nothing short of pumpktastic. today we've got the return of the eatinist bitch, who contributed a guest post on snacks & drinks in puerto rico to eat!drink!snack! this past summer. she kinda cracks my shit up. inside joke: don't ever get her on a boat & make her prepare guacamole for you.

fall isn't particularly my favorite time of year, but it's pretty special because it's her time to shine. by "her," i mean that curvy orange delight, the pumpkin. pumpkin pie, pumpkin ravioli, pumpkin ice cream...pretty much anything pumpkin's added to is made better with its beautiful color, rich flavor, and dare i even say it...nutrition. when i saw that jamba juice had a seasonal smoothie called the "pumpkin smash" (almost sounds like a wrestling move...or a bad dance move from the 50's), of course I had to give it a try.

snack away #13 - my puerto rican last meal.

another week, another new guest blogger! today we've got a TOTALLY INTERNATIONAL post from the eatinist bitch, who heeded my call for guest bloggers just days before she left NYC for a few days vacation in puerto rico. she was all "i'll write something about the snacks & drinks down there" & since i don't have a budget to fly columnists to puerto rico, i was totally for the idea. so yeah. enjoy & read her blog & stuff. it's the eatinist, bitch.

so i went to puerto rico two weeks ago in a stunning display of last minute traveling and proceeded to have one of the best vacations ever. i could go on forever about the landscape and the people...but you know the only thing that matters is the food.

seeing as that my friends flew back a day early, my last day in isabella (the town i stayed in) was spent by my lonesome. i wanted something tasty and quick for my last meal there and i knew something tasty would be found at the beach front plaza, villa pesquera. there are a ton of little restaurants and bars, but i picked one stand that i had been eying during my stay. i can't remember its name but i can damn sure remember what i got...
